Travel is the lifesource of the hyperloop and the inspiration for this campus. Travel has been a limiting factor for humans since the beginning of time. Getting from point A to point B physically has been a problem we have been trying to solve for ages, and one that we are constantly advancing upon, even now in 2220.
200 years ago, the Vigesimal Campus was built to serve as a headquarters for the hyperloop as it was being studied and constructed. The pipe system served as a means for visitors and users to navigate the campus quickly and safely. Pods minimized contact during travel and achieved a new culture on campus that opened doorways to social interaction at large distances between groups. This inspired changes in circulation across the globe. A fascination with travel culture took the world by storm and set in motion the greatest transportation revolution the world has ever seen. The campus developed a more intricate pipe system after the resolution of the pandemic, allowing for individuals to travel between programs without a pod. Visitors could now enter the pipe system on ground, underground, and even through aircraft. The pipe system of the campus was granted access to the hyperloop tunnel, soon followed by major airports and public transportation systems across the country. Going to the store was now just as easy as shopping online. People chose to have meetings in person because it took the same amount of time as setting up a zoom call. Transportation allowed humankind to regain the connections that had been severed during the pandemic that forced us to distance ourselves from one another.
The Vigesimal campus is now a monument to a society that advanced beyond its world. Travel opened gates for humans to leave the earth and establish connections in the universe. The campus is preserved in the Nevada desert not as the headquarters to the hyperloop, but as the starting point to the next era of humans. Travel has always defined how we interact with one another. As travel evolved, so did this interaction, followed by culture. Transportation was no longer necessary task, but an opportunity for interaction. Travel is now something humans celebrate and use as a tool to communicate and express themselves. Although humans have moved on from earth, it will never be forgotten where their travels began.
